Large Original Engraving of the Mosque of Com [Qom] and the Tombs of Persian Kings. Printed in 1720. Titled "Description de La Celebre Mosquee de Com, Des Tombeaux des deux Derniers Rois De Perse"(Description of the Mosque of Qom and the Tombs of the last two Kings of Persia) by Henri Chatelain. Decorative series of views showing the interior of the Mosque of Qom, including the Sepulchre of Abas the Second and Sefy the First, along with the Tomb of these two kings and the Caravan-Seray de Cachan. Finely engraved images, from Chatelain's monumental 7 volume Atlas Historique. French calligraphic text in the middle describing the mosque and tombs. 19" x 22." One center original fold. Overall in very good condition.
